Welcome to the Weird Writing World of S.M.Johnston, AKA Me!
I grew up on fables and fairytales and now I dream of sharing my own stories with people. Predominately, I write YA in a wide variety of genres including science fiction, dystopian, urban fantasy, Greek mythology, paranormal and general fiction. I'm a dreamer and when weird ideas pop into my head, they won't leave me alone until I write them down. From a girl haunted by dreams after a heart transplant to a boy who delivers karma--if I daydream it, I write it.
In the last year, I've come to love general fiction as a writer as well. My short story GROWTH was published in the Australian Literary Review's anthology The Basics of Life, and I have a second short story coming out in mid-2012, getting to write beside Michael White in The Life and Times of Chester Lewis.
