SLEEPER
YA Science-Fiction

After receiving a heart transplant, seventeen-year-old Mishca Richardson is plagued by nightmares and a burning desire to find her birth parents. Mishca believes the bad dreams are part of the side-effects of her medication, but really they are part of something much more sinister.

GROWTH
Contemporary Fiction

Published in THE BASICS OF LIFE anthology, GROWTH is an autobiographical piece that looks at the time when I found out my father had terminal cancer. He died before the anthology was published.

THE LIFE AND TIMES OF CHESTER LEWIS
Mystery/Adventure Fiction

Published in Australian Literary Review's THE LIFE AND TIMES OF CHESTER LEWIS, an integrated short story collection.

KARMA
YA Urban Greek Mythology-Inspired

KARMA was a short story I wrote specifically for the Australian Literary Review's YA short story competition and it was the runner-up. My prize was feedback from Australian YA author, Sara Foster. The story work's on the concept that there are people responsible for keeping the world in balance by dishing out karma, both good and bad, on people.

Works in Progress

DESERTER: YA speculative fiction. The follow-up to SLEEPER.
KARMA: YA urban Greek mythology. I'm taking Sara's advice and turning Karma into a novel. I'm expanding the Greek Mythology aspects of the story as part of this. Apportioners roam suburbs delivering karma to those who deserve it, the good and the bad.
DIRTY RAINBOW: YA dystopian. Thousands of years in the future, men are extinct and women have created a Utopian society where there is no need for money, there is no war or famine and everyone is beautiful. But beauty is only skin deep.
THE LIVING LIST: YA contemporary fiction. Seventeen-year-old Kaylee Belt loves making lists. Her latest one is all about achieving the perfect senior year.
BOY FROZEN: YA Science Fiction that looks at twins, epilepsy, an alien invasions and high school.
EMERALD: YA Steampunk/dystopian set in the future after a nuclear fallout and environmentalist rule.
